I really had fun creating these pretty Celtic inspired ornaments! What began as my research for some cute St. Patrick’s Day ornaments, soon turned into a wonderful journey in seeing many pretty Celtic designs. Even though the Celtic knot designs are usually a bit more dimensional, I tried to draw some shapes that would look nice on flat surfaces as well. (Although you can feel free to carve the shaping into the ornaments using a Dremel or by hand! That would make another wonderfully interesting project!)
I also liked the idea of making these ornaments in smaller sizes to use as jewelry and pendants. I tried three different sizes, and I test cut what I felt were the most difficult pieces. I was so happy with them that I decided to include all three smaller versions with this pattern, as you can try them all yourself. While the smallest designs take a bit of skill and patience, they certainly do look nice when they are completed and would make lovely pieces to give or even wear yourself.
I had to try a few beautiful crystal rhinestones to embellish them (in shades of GREEN, of course!) To me they were the perfect touch!
