Bring a little bit of nostalgia into your holidays with these beautiful scrolled decorations from Christmas past.
These three little rocking reindeer are fun and easy to make. The samples are made of oak and finished with mineral oil followed by spray shellac. Mineral oil brings out the natural beauty and grain of the wood and gives it a nice, rich color. The spray shellac seals in the oil and also offers a beautiful luster, as well as protects the wood from drying out. Unlike poly sprays, shellac is very easy to apply and gives a nice even finish with no drip marks. They would also look wonderful with a festive bell or red ribbon around their necks or a beautiful poinsettia flower.
