This deer napkin holder set would look great in any rustic kitchen or dining room. You can make it with a veneer backer as I did, or you can choose to use a 1/8″ thick plywood backer and paint it in a color that goes with your decor. The mini-plaque is 6.25″ in diameter, but you can easily enlarge that to any size you like which would also make it easier to cut. This is a relatively easy pattern to make on the scroll saw but may be a bit tough for an absolute beginner.

If you plan to make the napkin holder with a laser engraver, you will have to take it upon yourself and get creative with wood choices and assembly since ~1/2″ thick wood is needed for sturdiness.
