Here’s a fun project that is great to make any time of the year. The whimsical cheese tray can be made using the optional Corian® insert, or made without it and it will look just fine. I found that cutting the Corian® was not
difficult at all. I just used a fresh blade and slowed down the scroll saw a little bit and it felt like cutting normal hard wood. If you have never tried cutting it before, you may be surprised at how easy it is to work with.

The cheese tray is made of maple, and the center piece is cut on an angle so that it can be pressed down into itself (much like the self-framing plaques and candle trays that I design) so that the inside piece forms a lip and the pre-purchased glass dome stays nicely in place (purchased from Craft Supplies USA).
