The notches in the pieces need to be fairly accurate, so I would consider all of these baskets to be intermediate difficulty scroll saw patterns but a novice might still be able to make them depending on the person. 1/4″ thick wood is required for the slat pieces and 3/8″ is recommended for the ring and base in this design.
