This moose pattern pair is part of our new Early Inspirations series. These are somewhat easier to accomplish and a good beginner scroll saw pattern. I strongly suggest making the larger size first if you are unsure, as they are a bit easier to cut than the small size. I also recommend creating these plaques using 1/8″ quality Baltic birch plywood.
Each pattern includes two designs in two finished sizes – a larger set that fits into a standard 8″ x 10″ frame and a smaller set that fits into a standard 5″ x 7″ frame. I chose these sizes so that you can easily purchase ready-made frames to fit. Of course, you can also adjust the size to any size you see fit.
