While similar to our filigree patterns, these “fretwork” ornaments have lines that follow the natural markings of the seashells. You can make these with or without a backer. Without backers will be a bit delicate so I suggest that you use 3/16″ to 1/4″ for more durable ornament. Of course if you make the 2-layer version, 1/8″ wood is fine.
These are a bit smaller than my other ornaments at around 2.5″ to 3.5″ diameter but you could enlarge them when you print if you like big ornaments. This would also make them easier to cut.
