After seeing my Sweetheart candle tray design, I was asked by a customer to design a larger dresser tray with a heart motif. It is made very similar to the candle trays, but has a bigger center area which makes an ideal tray to set your keys, or loose change. You can even use it for a tray to serve fine chocolates or have it as a decorative tray on your coffee table and perhaps place a single silk rose on it. It would even make a beautiful centerpiece for a wedding or shower.
The small size and classic fretwork design is both fun and easy to cut. By routing both the inner and outer edge of the rim before you cut the fretwork, it allows a beautifully curved and delicate looking edge, which is surprisingly strong.
