These little baskets are fun and easy to do. Not only are they attractive, but also functional, as they can be used for candy, flowers, or just about anything you can think of. They make nice centerpieces and also are great for holding gifts such as baked goods.
This pattern includes two different handles for the basket to give it a different look. I included a cute bunny handle that would be nice for Easter or maybe the summer season, but the plain handle is softly routed and can be displayed just about any time of year. Wouldn’t this basket be attractive filled with beautiful autumn gourds??
You can easily adjust the height and shape of the basket by adding or subtracting layers. On the one example, I added an extra walnut layer to elongate the bottom of the basket and to give it some extra height and an interesting shape but you can experiment with adding or subtracting any of the rings for other unique looks. (The little bunnies are not included.)
