This layered box scroll saw pattern has a maple leaf on the lid and the box shape follows the outer perimeter of the leaf.
The side layers have an alternating basket-weave effect. You can add as many side ring pieces as you like to make the box deeper. On the main sample photo, you can see an example with three side layers, and one with four side layers. You can use stain or contrasting woods for any of the pieces you want to create beautiful finished boxes.
