This tray is a fun and easy project to create. It seems that the primitive style of designs is ever-increasing in popularity. Perhaps it is our longing to go back to simpler times when our world wasn’t so complicated. But just because a design is considered “primitive” in style, it doesn’t mean that it has to be plain or dull. I added lots of interest to this design by using some rusty wire (found in the jewelry section of your local craft store) and some pretty sparkling rhinestones to accent the star pieces. (After all – crows love shiny things – don’t they?)
The cutting itself is simple, and it is a good pattern for someone who may just be starting out on the scroll saw. In the photos I too, I placed a couple of pretty primitive berries around the tray to add some additional interest. Either way – it will become a fun addition to your home decor and a great seller at craft shows and fairs
