Celebrate the true “reason for the season”! Since this project is self-framing, it is cut from a single piece of hardwood. By tilting your scroll saw, the inner section is cut at a slight angle allowing it to recess in the frame when completed. Baltic birch backers were cut and painted to accentuate the fretwork and lettering.
The lettering on this design is a bit more challenging than most of our word art patterns and is not recommended if you are not comfortable doing detail work with small scroll saw blades. This being said, I found it easier than I thought it would be to cut. I strongly suggest using #2/0 blades for the detail work! (We use Olson blades)
