Like all of our self-framing scroll saw patterns, this buckeye butterfly design is cut from one piece hardwood. The inner oval is cut with the scroll saw tilted slightly which allows it to recess back, creating a framed look. A thin plywood backer is then added to the middle oval. Color can be added by painting the backer.

SVG Laser Cut File: A vector SVG cut file for laser engravers which includes our "Small business production" license. These files can also be use with a Silhouette Cameo or Cricut paper cutting machine and with some adaptation could be used for other uses such as a CNC router. The scroll saw instructions will also be included to help with any assembly and wood suggestions.
