You are going to love making this simple, yet elegant Eiffel tower / Paris scroll saw plaque! With so many options for finishing it, you may have trouble deciding which way you like best. You can cut the wood pieces in beautiful contrasting hard wood for a classic finish, or add a colored background to make the plaque look pretty and feminine as shown in the sample photo.
I used some beautiful scrapbook paper that I purchased on Etsy and downloaded to my own computer. I then printed the design on some 120 lb. white card stock and used the DecoArt brand Decou-Page Medium to glue it to the backboard for a wonderful finish. Alternatively, you could paint the background easily using a sea sponge and DecoArt acrylic paint, changing the colors to suit your taste.
I finished the sample using some beautiful, hot-fix rhinestones from Rhinestone Canada. They are so easy to apply and really are a wonderful added touch for that little bit of ‘sparkle’!
