The term “Slainte” is an Irish term that has been used to toast good health. I thought that it would make the perfect word to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, plus anyone of Irish descent would appreciate being able to celebrate his or her heritage year-round.

This set of word art is fun and easy to cut. It looks beautiful left natural, but also looks nice stained in traditional green hues. I designed the pieces separately so they could be arranged in a variety of ways. They look great scattered on a table or a shelf. You could even toss a few chocolate gold coins around them to make them look really nice. The pattern includes full instructions for cutting the letters and also finishing them with a natural, oiled finish or alternatively using easy to find DecoArt products to create a transparent stain with acrylic paints.

It’s quick project that is lots of fun to make.
