This fun and pretty candle tray is a great piece to make during the warm months of spring and summer or any time of the year that you want to brighten things up a bit. It is a nice combination of a bit of challenging fretwork mixed with some simple overlay pieces and optional embellishments that make it simple to create a piece that will have a “wow” effect.
You can always make the tray with some pretty maple and leave it a natural color, but I think that adding some bright acrylic paint and a couple of crystal rhinestones really brings it up to another level.
