This scroll saw pattern includes a full set of instructions for making the fretwork version, or the overlay version. You can choose to make the overlay version with contrasting woods, or give it a rustic look with paints and crackle medium as shown in the sample photos (it’s really easy to do – painting instructions are included). There are five silhouettes to choose from for the sides so you can customize the design to your taste (Silhouettes included: bear, jumping bass, deer head, moose, & trees). You also have the option of making a “Welcome to Our Home” or “Welcome to Our Cabin”. If you choose to make the fretwork version, this is a fast and easy project for selling at craft fairs.
